September saw a record seven releases packed with over fifty new features and even more improvements. As always, the new features, tweaks and improvements come from a partnership with our extremely valued users who constantly provide insightful feedback and 'wish lists' of new things they'd like to see, for which we are extremely grateful.
Since the last newsletter, the headline new features include financial reports that can be exported to csv for accounting purposes and the ability to schedule by rounds and locations, as well as a host of other smaller features that make the user experience even better.
Did you realise that prior to Roman times there were just ten months of the year? September being the seventh, hence the 'Sept'. The others were Martius, Aprilis, Maius, Junius, Quntilis, Sextilis, September, October, November and December with the last six names taken from the words for five, six, seven, eight, nine and ten. The eleventh and twelfth months were added in by Julius and Augustus Caesar as July and August.
With this in mind, can you guess how many releases are due for October, November and December? We're going to be keeping busy throughout autumn and winter!
The much awaited financial reports feature is now in! From the insights view, there is now a fourth tab called reports which gives you the option to download full or summary csv files for reports on income and expenditure and customers.
In a following release, there will also be the option to select monthly, quarterly, yearly or a set of custom dates for reports.
Scheduling by rounds is Squeegee's newest headline feature. This allows users to group jobs by locations, setting the frequency and dates for the entire group.
The ability to edit the schedule for an entire group of jobs in one go is really handy, but he best part is when adding a new job, Squeegee will automatically show you the optimal scheduled rounds for the job to fit into with the closest first.
