Set your Cleaning Business up for success

The New Year is the perfect time to reflect on your business progress and set fresh goals for growth. A solid business plan can set the stage for a successful and prosperous year ahead.

Squeegee allows you to easily analyse past performance and plan strategically for the future. Let’s dive into some of the reports available in Squeegee to help you gear up for 2025!

1. Reflect on the Past Year Before you look forward, take a moment to evaluate how your business performed over the last 12 months.

  • What worked well?
  • Where were there challenges?
  • Did you meet your revenue and profit goals?

Squeegee’s Profit and Loss Summary by Date Range report will give you a summary of your revenue, payments and expenses. The Reporting screen's Financials tab (below) will give you a visual snapshot of your last 12 months performance.

2. Set Realistic Goals for Growth Having clear, actionable goals is key to staying focused throughout the year. Consider these when planning:

Revenue Goals: Review your Monthly Revenue Forecast by Round, Frequency, and Service to predict earnings. Are there specific months where you can aim to grow?

Service Expansion: Analyse your Revenue by Services with Projection report to see which services are performing best. Could you expand high-performing services or introduce new ones?

3. Plan Ahead with Monthly Projections Consistency is critical in the cleaning industry. With Projected Revenue by Month, you can forecast cash flow and plan for quieter periods. Use this data to:

  • Schedule promotional offers during slower months.
  • Optimise staffing and resources based on anticipated demand.

4. Optimise Your Operations Efficiency is just as important as growth. Tools like Squeegee can streamline your workflow by automating scheduling, invoicing, and client communications. By saving time on admin tasks, you’ll have more bandwidth to focus on growing your business.

5. Stay Flexible While planning is essential, so is adaptability. External factors like weather, economic shifts, and client demand can impact your business. Regularly revisit your goals and adjust based on performance and external changes.

A little planning goes a long way. By leveraging Squeegee’s powerful reporting tools, you can set your cleaning business up for success in the New Year. Here’s to a year of growth and prosperity.
