Using Squeegee on a Desktop: Best practice and trouble shooting tips

While Squeegee is designed primarily as a mobile app for managing your business on the go, many users also like to access it from a desktop or laptop. Checking your schedule, managing customers or reviewing invoices is easier on a bigger screen — but it’s important to use it the right way to avoid any syncing issues between devices.

Use Chrome (Not the App) for the best experience

If you’re using Squeegee on a computer, don’t use the desktop app. Instead, log in directly through the Squeegee sign-in page using Google Chrome.

Chrome is the most reliable browser for Squeegee, offering the best compatibility and performance. It also ensures that features like syncing and notifications work as intended.

Tip: Bookmark the sign-in page so you can get to your account quickly without keeping the tab open all day.

Keep your system and browser up to date

Make sure:

  • Your operating system (Windows or macOS) has the latest updates installed.
  • You’re using the latest version of Chrome.
  • You’ve checked for browser extensions that might interfere with Squeegee’s performance — ad blockers, script managers or privacy tools can sometimes cause issues.

If Squeegee isn’t loading correctly or syncing properly, try opening it in an incognito window. If it works there, it’s a good sign that an extension may be the culprit.

Regularly clear your cache and refresh your session

If you’ve had Squeegee open on your desktop for a long time, or you notice that changes made on your phone aren’t showing up, it might just need a refresh.

To keep things synced:

  • Close the Squeegee tab fully when you’re done — don’t just leave it open in the background.
  • Reopen it the next time you need it so it can sync up with any updates from your mobile device.
  • Clear your browser cache occasionally to help prevent old data from getting in the way of new information. Doing this regularly helps ensure you’re always working with the latest data, no matter which device you’re on.
