Address Lookup Guide

Recently, our default address lookup provider was deprecated, so all Squeegee accounts now use Google’s address lookup. This guide will help you get the correct pin for your jobs and customers.

1. Entering the Address Correctly

To get an accurate pin suggestion:

  • Enter the street number and street name.
  • Include either the town or the postcode.

⚠️ Important:

  • If you only enter a street name or postcode, the suggestion may be inaccurate.
  • You may see a red “Possible Match”—this is just a text suggestion, not a pin. Clicking it may place the pin at the wrong location.

2. Look for the Green Pin

The green pin suggestion is what you’re looking for—it represents the accurate address match.

  • Enter the address as described above (street number + name + town/postcode).
  • Google will show a green pin suggestion—select this one.
  • If the pin doesn’t appear green, it’s likely that some part of the address is missing or incorrect.

3. Adjusting or Confirming the Pin

Even with the green pin, you can make adjustments:

  • Move the pin by clicking and dragging it to the correct location.
  • Edit the address text after clicking on a suggestion, before confirming “Pin Here.”
  • If no suggestions appear, click the blue text to manually place the pin on the map.

Following these steps ensures your jobs and customers are accurately mapped every time.
