Dan Lee, owner of Somerset Window Cleaning, started his company in 2019 after spotting a gap in the market for professional exterior cleaning services in his local area. Before launching the business, Dan served as a Royal Marine Commando, making the transition from military life to becoming a successful entrepreneur in the exterior cleaning industry.

He built the company in a unique way, rather than starting with customers first, Dan focused on putting the right systems in place from day one. He chose the best software before building his customer base and team — a decision that proved hugely successful. Somerset Window Cleaning now employs a team of 7 staff and a fleet of six vans including one electric van - the start of a wider move to switch to EV’s.

Dan also made sure he had the best equipment to deliver a premium service from the start.

“Investing in the right equipment to do the very best job was important for me. I purchased a Wash and Clean Pure Water System, along with vacuum equipment for gutter cleaning. It was expensive, but a move I felt was required to provide the level of service I wanted to offer. From starting out with zero clients and embarking on the daunting task of filling a single round, I'm incredibly proud of the company we've become.”

Dan chose Squeegee to help manage and streamline the day-to-day running of the business.

With the addition of softwashing and render cleaning services, Dan is now focused on taking the business to the next level by expanding into nearby cities, Bristol and Bath, bringing their high standard of exterior cleaning services to even more customers across the region.
