ACE Window & Cleaning Services’ Growth Journey

Founded by Adam Carroll in 2018, ACE Window & Cleaning Services began as a small domestic window cleaning business. What started as a one-man operation quickly grew into a thriving company, taking on increasingly large contracts across the East Midlands.

Today, ACE has 4 employees and works with both domestic and commercial clients, carrying out a wide range of work including ambulance station cleaning, environmental cleans and hazardous waste removal.

“I was very good at saying yes to every opportunity that came my way,” says Adam — a mindset that helped fuel the company’s rapid growth.

As the business expanded, so did the admin behind it.

Jobs were being managed through spreadsheets, handwritten notes and information scattered across paper and devices. With more services, more customers and employees to manage, this system became time-consuming and difficult to control.

“I needed a better way to see everything in one place and keep control as the business grew.”

Why Squeegee?

The move to Squeegee came down to three key things: support, simplicity and structure.

Before fully committing, Adam worked closely with Susie from the Squeegee team, who spent time helping him understand the app and migrate all existing data into the system.

“Susie took time to help me understand the app and make sure I was happy. Everything I had scribbled down or stored in spreadsheets was brought into Squeegee.”

That hands-on onboarding made the transition smooth and stress-free.

The impact of switching to Squeegee was immediate.

“Squeegee has made things so much easier. With a few employees, I can see and manage everything clearly. It has genuinely changed my life, giving me time back to focus on other things.”

“Being able to look back at alerts and see where things have changed during the day — without ringing employees constantly — has made a massive difference. It lets me focus on growing the business.”

What’s Next? Growth is very much part of the plan. With Squeegee handling the day-to-day running of the business, Adam has been able to step back and explore new opportunities.

Adam and his partner Chelsea have recently taken over Ultra Reach Poles, with plans to build on this new venture by supplying systems and pumps to other window cleaners.

“We have used the poles and love the quality. We’ll be helping other window cleaners by introducing the right systems and equipment.”

While the future looks busier than ever, Squeegee continues to keep operations organised and under control.
