Squeegee Charity of the Year
25th January 2022
For 2022, The Squeegee Team have chosen to support Action for Children as their Charity of the Year.
After the heart breaking stories that hit the UK news in late 2021 on Arthur Labinjo-Hughes and Star Hobson, we felt we had to do something.

While we could raise some awareness and support this wonderful charity individually, as a company with a reach of thousands of customers, we can make much more of a difference. We are kicking off our year's support with a 24 hour pool marathon, with all proceeds going to Action For Children. We hope this will help to prevent more children like Arthur and Star facing such terrible outcomes.
Please visit our JustGiving page to support our event and this wonderful charity, and read on to find out more about what Action for Children do.
What Action for Children do
Action for Children's ambition is that every child and young person in the country has a safe and happy childhood and the foundations they need to thrive.
They protect and support children and young people, provide practical and emotional care and support, ensure their voices are heard, and campaign to bring lasting improvements to their lives.
Last year, they helped more than 600,000 children, young people and families across the UK. They did this in hundreds of local services across the UK, as well as in schools and online.
They work hand in hand with children in and on the edge of crisis to meet their immediate, basic needs, to ease mounting pressures, to heal psychological wounds, to tackle isolation and support them to seize opportunities to change their lives for the better, for good.
They work to give children the best start in life, provide safe and loving homes and support good mental health.
Coronavirus has had a devastating impact on the lives of children, young people and families across the UK. Even before the pandemic millions of children and families were struggling. But now, after almost two years of worry, isolation and poverty, things are even worse, and many frightened families are at breaking point. We need your help!
